FAMA is the only company that designs and manufactures global solutions for precast segment lining of tunnels excavated with the mechanized system. It offers sealing systems, connection systems and a wide range of accessories which provides the segments with a multiplicity of functions and services.
FAMA activity includes the conception, sizing and design of stationary and automated precast plants and technical support in the choice of products; it carries out assembly tests and offers ongoing assistance in the site start-up phase.
FAMA has always been committed to ensuring a high-quality standard for both products and services. It has thus obtained the ISO 9001:2015 certification and the Avis Technique issued by the CETU (Centre for Tunnel Studies), a technical department of the French Ministry of Transport, which certifies the high-sealing performance of its gaskets.
FAMA has its own testing laboratory where it performs the tests required by the specification EAD (European Assessment Document) in order to get CE marking.
Since 2015, FAMA has adopted environmental management measures and the sustainable development goals at the core of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. It has thus transformed its extractive and linear business models into circular and regenerative ones and it provides its clients with the results obtained by adopting measures that reduce the impact on the environment. It has also owned the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) that focuses on the environmental performances of its products.
FAMA has undertaken a vast program of improvement and modernization of its facilities, as well as their digitization, robotization and automation, the three pillars of Industry 4.0, to improve the efficiency and quality of production processes.
FAMA has actually contributed to the realization of 107 tunnels, for a total of 1.270 km of lining, and of 17 precast plants.
