Assistance, studies and expert appraisals in the fields of civil engineering and construction (bridges, viaducts, tunnels, retaining structures), particularly in:
Heritage Engineering: possess the skills to take responsibility over the long term for the safe running of trains on aging structures,
Design Engineering: possess the skills to build or refurbish, over the long term, structures under heavy railway strain.
The Engineering Structures Department makes its know-how available to various players, primarily SNCF Réseau, but also to all railway and construction players (contracting authorities, project managers, contractors) to help them design and maintain their civil engineering structures.
